Speaking, not Speaking is an exploration of the tension created by viewing a relentless and uncomfortably repetitive scene. Throughout the running time, there are points that become a kind of resolution in which the tension is somewhat resolved, only to have it build again, highlighting the nature of attention span and the ability to become mesmerized in spite of mild antipathy.
