Ce n’est pas une peinture is an immersive environment within the 3D online virtual world of Second Life. Imagined in the physical world to be a city block and 50 stories tall, the space is inspired by the luscious exuberance and sumptuousness of the neo-Baroque and Populence styles of Beatriz Milhazes, Takashi Murakami, Polly Apfelbaum and Gajin Fujita.

Created to be interactive within Second Life, Avatars engage with the installation by floating through it in an endless meditative decent becoming immersed in a hypnotic kaleidoscope of color, pattern and design.
