In my most recent project titled Probe I investigate implications of X-ray security screening that generate images filled with transparent and beautiful color “drawings” of objects and people. This project is commentary on the issue of personal
freedom and how it is abused today worldwide in the name of “war on terror”– The project raises questions whether taking away citizens’ rights to privacy is a legitimate tool in this fight; do we lose more than we gain by giving up so much? It also
asks a serious question should we have access and right to own images of ourselves no matter how they were obtained.
